The Mogren Foundation Board of Directors

With the support of two expert selection committees, the Mogren Foundation Board of Directors annually selects two awardees, in medicine and classical music.

Fabian Mogren, Chair

“Anyone who has ever worried about themselves or a loved one knows how small, scared, and powerless one can feel as a patient. Therefore, it is essential to recognise the incredible individuals who meet these people every day.”

After graduating as a naval officer, Fabian Mogren has been active as a business leader and CEO. Fabian is keenly interested in music, has attended the Kungsholmen upper secondary school music section, and plays several instruments. He is the son of founder Håkan Mogren.

Joakim Ahlberg, Member of the board

“Music more or less exists within all of us and can help promote our well-being. Medical research is crucial to ensure that our life expectancy and general health continue to improve.”

Joakim holds a Master's degree in Economics from Stockholm University, with a focus on finance. He has worked in capital markets since 2006 and at Nordea since 2014, currently managing a North American and a global fund.

Ursula Liliemark, Member of the board

”Music stirs emotions and creates community. But to fully take the step into an industry known for tough competition and a demanding work environment is challenging for many newly graduated musicians. The Mogren Music Prize makes it possible for young talents to develop their artistry.”

Ursula Liliemark holds a degree in civil engineering and technical nanoscience with a focus on biomedicine. She is currently working as an optimisation analyst.

Lisa Mogren, Member of the board

”Good communication between healthcare staff and patients is a prerequisite for the patient to receive the right treatment. I hope that those who are awarded the Mogren Medicine Prize can help more people to understand the importance of an empathic bedside manner.”

Lisa Mogren has a background in the travel industry. After several years with the medical technology company GE Healthcare, she is now responsible for education at HLR Konsulten, a company that provides training in CPR.

Tobias Mogren, Adjunct member of the board

“Music carries and conveys emotions; it follows us through life and is very meaningful in many situations. Giving talented musicians the chance to continue their development is something I hold dear, which is why the Music Prize is so important.”

Tobias Mogren is a qualified mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, and technology teacher, and has studied molecular biotechnology at the Royal Institute of Technology. He is interested in music and is the son of founder Håkan Mogren.
