Daniel Johansson

Jury motivation: “Tenor Daniel Johansson is a graduate of the opera programme at the Stockholm University of the Arts. During his studies, he was a soloist at the Swedish public television's annual Epiphany Concerts in the Berwaldhallen, where he performed with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Thomas Søndergård.”

About Daniel Johansson


The tenor Daniel Johansson is a graduate of the opera programme at the Stockholm University of the Arts. During his studies, he introduced himself to a wider public as a soloist in Swedish public television’s annual Epiphany Concerts. In 2007, Daniel Johansson won first prize in the Gösta Winbergh Award, and in 2012 he was awarded with first prize as well as the audience favourite prize at the Wilhelm Stenhammar International Music Competition. He has received a number of scholarships, among those from the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and the Anders Walls Foundation.
